Crown Computing announces a major new release of its market-leading Workforce Management solution...
October 8th 2010

Crown Computing today announces the release of Version 10 of its market leading Open Options™ Workforce Management system.

This latest release reflects over nine months of continuous software development, fulfilling commitments to advance the functionality of the Workforce Scheduling module including AutoRostering, Task-based Rostering and Event Rostering. The new release also provides other advanced Workforce Management functions that will help organisations meet the challenges of operating in an increasingly competitive environment now and into the future.

Managing Director Mike Hawkesford explains the background to one of the major areas of package enhancement. “The Workforce Scheduling component of Open Options™ is an integral and vital component of a fully rounded Workforce Management solution, particularly for service-oriented organisations that need to optimise the efficiency and performance of their workforce. In the current climate, it has never been more important to have the right staff with the right skills in the right place at the right time. The latest version of Open Options™ enables you to achieve this and more”.

Other major developments in this new release include: Business Process Maintenance (BPM), this function introduces the ability to design a Process, based upon the occurrence of certain events, where ‘tasks’ are generated to track the work-flow of the Process from start to finish. An example of this would be the process around a “return-to-work” after a period of absence due to sickness.

Other significant changes to Open Options ™ functionality include: Multi-contracts, this new function allows the implementation of Multi-Contract employees. Single Sign-on, this new Sign-on Authentication functionality acknowledges specific routes to signing in to the system.
