March 2010
Workforce Management software vendor Crown Computing has signed an agreement with AlphaGary to provide a new Time and Attendance (T&A) system.
AlphaGary is a specialist designer, developer and manufacturer of speciality plastic compounds. Crown’s flagship workforce management solution Open Options will replace an existing system that was ageing and becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and administer.
An extensive review of the various systems offered within the UK market was undertaken in the latter half of 2009. The process was spearheaded by AlphaGary’s payroll manager Stevie Taylor and in December 2009 the company selected Crown Computing as its preferred T&A vendor.
Crown’s Open Options system will administer the time and attendance of 125+ employees at 2 sites in Leicestershire. The browser-based functionality within the system will allow AlphaGary to manage all aspects of working time and associated activities on-line, thereby significantly reducing time consuming and costly administration, in addition, Open Options will also provide comprehensive reporting capabilities allowing managers to make more informed decisions. It is anticipated that the project will be completed by the end of February 2010.
Mike Hawkesford, Managing Director, Crown Computing, expressed his delight at the win: “I am very pleased that Crown will be providing AlphaGary with their new T&A system. Open Options is very well proven in numerous implementations, so we know it will integrate seamlessly with their existing Access Control and Cintra Payroll system to give them a comprehensive and very cost-effective solution. I am confident we will provide AlphaGary with a high-performance system from which the company will derive a substantial return on investment.”
